Welcome, I’m Merridy – a Brisbane-based Lawyer and Occupational Wellbeing Advisor. Over the past two decades, I’ve been helping myself, and others, to achieve optimal wellbeing at work.
I’ve been described by executives as ‘the calmest person [they] know’. However, I wasn’t born this way – over the past 20 years I have used all the Merry Therapy techniques on myself to become efficient, content and an asset to the workplace.
Lawyers and other professional service providers can often feel that they are not in control of their day to day work.
Businesses also make the mistake of leaving staff to work on their wellbeing ‘in their own time’. This misses a key opportunity to increase engagement and retention by helping your employees to manage their stress, and to build meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients, by reinforcing wellbeing at work.
My approach to ‘work wellbeing’ is practical, transformational and aimed at helping individuals to find calm and focus, and as a result to increase their productivity, happiness and clarity at work.
This is not fuzzy wellness – I teach practical techniques to increase the engagement of your staff at all levels. Understanding how wellbeing can be practiced at work is a powerful way to transform how people work. Practising at work and in life reinforces the benefits and can grow them exponentially.
Generally 30 - 40 minutes delivered weekly over 10 weeks. No need for your staff to change out of their suits and into their workout gear, in these sessions I facilitate non-sweaty practices to help your time-poor staff to understand themselves and the way they work and live – physically, energetically and mentally – and integrate that into their work days.

I’m a Certified Yoga Therapist (a yoga teacher with extensive post-graduate training in counselling, coaching and wellness therapy).
I’ve worked as a lawyer (or doing lawyer-ish type things) since 2001 in government, private practice and in-house, currently in-house at the Virgin Australia Group.
My husband, dog and I live in suburban Brisbane and we spend our time tending our oversized vege garden, bushwalking and enjoying coffee.
